  • Report can be generated using Microsoft Word and can be printed or exported in a pdf format.

  • All rapidDNA functionality is provided from a server located either on the organisation’s internal network or accessed through a LAN, leased line, or WiFi network. No software needs to be installed on the user’s computer. The only requirement is that the user has a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Google Chrome, or Safari. This makes it possible to expand the system at any time, provide access to remote users, and control what modules different users can access.

  • Forensic DNA analysis is an evolving technology. Every year new kits, equipment, and protocols become available. rapidDNA can be quickly adapted to new processes and also allows users create new allele designation rules. As all data is captured on the system, longitudinal research can be carried out on analyser, kit, or analyst performance.

  • This worksheet provides ongoing workflow information with configurable columns, with an option to print documentation at each step if a hard copy is required. 

  • Once a sample has been submitted to the DNA workflow, rapidDNA has the ability to batch samples across different cases, analysts, etc. who performs various steps in the workflow and enters data are precisely tracked.

  • Barcode is assigned to samples to create a unique identifier in order to be tracked throughout the system.

  • Ability to exchange information with multiple DNA instruments through a network connection or manual file transfer.

  • A load list is produced for the designated instrument and the result files created by the instrument are imported back to the LIMS.

  • This saves time and reduces transcription errors providing higher level of quality without sacrificing throughput.

ALLELE CALLING SOFTWARE

To fulfil ISO/IEC 17025 for Legal (including Forensic Science) testing for accreditted laboratory, rapidDNA offers an additional DNA fragment analysis software for Quality Assurance purpose.


User has an option to choose between rapidCALL and GeneMarker® HID when making a purchase.

Key features include:

GeneMarker® HID - NDIS-APPROVED ALLELE CALLING SOFTWARE FROM SoftGenetics®


GeneMarker® HID human identity software is an excellent choice for all forensic profiling applications. This expert system software can be employed as a "biologist-friendly" replacement for GeneScan®/GenoTyper® or as an alternative to GeneMapper® ID and GeneMapper® IDX human identification software, reducing analyst required edits by 18-73% per sample. GeneMarker® HID is concordant with GeneMapper®ID and GeneMapper®IDX and compatible with ABI®PRISM 310, 3100, 3130, 3730, 3500 CE output (.fsa, .hid) and chemistries (including GlobalFiler™ 6-Dye™, Identifiler®, Minifiler®, PowerPlex®16, PowerPlex®ESI, PowerPlex®Fusion 5 and 6 Dye, Investigator®24Plex, Investigator®DIPplex and SureID® STR chemistries) uses advanced Windows® technology that is intuitive and easy to learn.
